The 22nd Lord Howe Island BBQ was celebrated at the Lagoon on Tuesday, November 19th. Ten boats had booked moorings for the event. Six boats arrived at Lord Howe Island from Sydney, Pittwater, and Lake Macquarie. We also had a number of visitors to the Island dine with us, along with families and teachers from the school.
Three hundred raffle tickets were sold, a generous contribution was made from Lake Macquarie Yacht Club, and Pétanque was introduced to the BBQ activities. The event raised over $4000 for the school.
Thank you to the parents and families for their substantial preparation and delivery of a delicious BBQ. The BBQ would not have been possible without them. Special thanks to Lu for coordinating things on the Island.
