Terrific Term 1!
We have enjoyed another busy and productive Term 1 at Lord Howe Island Central School. Our kids are doing great things, and it has been so nice to watch everyone hard at work and enjoying school, loving where they learn.
At Lord Howe Island Central School, we are always Polite, Positive, and Productive, and it’s been a continuous thrill for me to watch everyone use those values in everything they do, every day, building on a great 2024. Well done to you all!
I’ve really enjoyed experiencing all the great work our students are producing so far this year, and I’ve taken special joy in seeing our Kindy kids being super proud.

Amazing Artists
Speaking of producing great work, the students in Mr B’s class have brought their room to life with some inspired art works. It always amazes me to see the creativity and enthusiasm in our kids, and I’m sure you’ll agree, we really do have some wonderful artists amongst us. From self-portraits to animals, the room looks fantastic!

Swimming Carnival
What a great day we had at our annual Swimming Carnival recently. The weather was devine!
We are so proud of our confident swimmers who showcased their skills and enthusiasm in the water, well done everyone! We are so lucky to have so many swimmers at our school! Thank you to our amazing kids for making the day run so smoothly and be so much fun, and for participating with such positivity and enthusiasm.
We also loved the PCA fundraiser adding to the event, which made it feel extra special and provided some yummy food! Thanks also to everyone for coming along on the day to help or to cheer.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a swimming carnival without the great rivalry between Lidgbird and Gower houses and this year Lidgy won the day by a nose!
