DCCEEW, through NPWS with the support of the Lord Howe Island Board, has released a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for suitable entities to participate in an Invitation for Expression of Interest for the New Marine Vessel & Operations project, a critical step in delivering the Program.
The project, which will deliver a suitable marine freight service to Lord Howe Island to meet the needs of residents, businesses and tourists, comprises two packages, being:
- the design, build and delivery of a new modern marine vessel (Package 1); and
- operations and maintenance of a marine freight service to Lord Howe Island for a nominated period (Package 2).
The Invitation for Expression of Interest is advertised via the buy NSW Tenders (formerly known as eTendering) website here.
The close date for entities to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) is 3pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Friday 23 August, 2024.
Further information on how to access the Invitation for Expression of Interest document and to submit an EOI, as well as ask for any clarifications, is provided in the buy NSW Tenders notice.
