Smiling New Face on the Team

We recently welcomed a very excited Chelsea Holden to our amazing little team, joining us in the role of School Administration Manager (Relieving). Chelsea is already contributing so much to our school and providing terrific support to our hard-working educators. Great to have you on board, Chelsea!

Creative Kids

As you would all know by now, the students at Lord Howe Island Central School are incredibly creative. Whether it be English or Art, they are always amazing us all!

For example, our 3-6 class created some cool artistic collages from a range of materials, while also showing they are clever hands at sewing.

Meanwhile, our K-2 class showed they are not to be out done, creating some terrific tigers based around the works of artist, Henri Rousseau.

Check out the pictures for a little sample and a slice of the fun!

Helping Keep Our School and Community Safe

Hopefully it’s never needed, but we are excited to see our new defibrillator installed at school to help keep everyone safe in an emergency. As an added support for our whole community, it’s located outside under the verandah of the Administration building, so that it can be accessed by anyone at any time.

End of Term Assembly

As usual in the last week of term, we celebrated everything great about our school at our end of term assembly.

Our students show-cased their hard work and creativity to the delight of a packed house of family and friends. Congratulations to those extra special kids who were recognised with awards for their efforts and results across the term. Well done to all!

Joke of the Month

I can tolerate algebra, maybe even a little calculus but geometry is where I draw the line.

And one more….

Mum says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.

Last thought

The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.
